Foreign minister visits Turkey for talks

Croatian foreign affairs minister Gordan Jandrokovic has been in Turkey to meet counterpart Ali Babacan for discussions on bilateral relations, regional and international issues, it has been revealed.
It emerged at a press conference after the meeting that trade between Croatia and Turkey is now worth over $500 million (£253 million) and is expected to increase, reports turkishpress.com.
Turkey also has the support of Croatia in its attempts to join Nato, according to Mr Jandrokovic.
"We hope that Turkey will successfully complete such process," he said.
Mr Jandrokovic also thanked the country for its support of Croatia in gaining Nato membership during separate meeting with Turkish parliamentary European Union adjustment committee chairman Yasar Yakis.
Reciprocal visits should boost relations between the two countries, which are already at a good level, Mr Yakis said.
In addition, he passed on his congratulations on Croatia's progress towards EU membership, the website revealed.
