Istria is a 'young and affordable market'
27 August 2008
The Istria region has today been described as a "young, affordable market", according to a source.
Newspaper the Chicago Tribune claims those who travel to Istria will drive along "a crystal blue coastline that looks startlingly like Italy of old".
The publication also notes restaurants and eateries in the area are "extremely good and extremely affordable", especially in comparison to Italy.
Pula, Rovinj, Porec and Umag are all also noted by the source as having "waves of sun-lovers and wine adventurers".
The article claims winemaking is rife and still continuing to grow within Istria, helping attract tourists to the area.
Meanwhile, the region has also this week been described as "bewitching" and "a great place to buy-to-let", reports Homes Worldwide.
The property publication claims those who choose to travel to Istria will benefit from the high-points of Tuscany, while also enjoying cheaper prices, making it one of Croatia's most sought-after regions.
