Kravitz 'finally performs' in Croatia to sell-out crowd

Lenny Kravitz has made his first concert appearance in Croatia, four years after he was first scheduled to appear in the country, it has been reported.

According to Croatian news provider javno.com, the event took place in Jazine Hall, Zadar.

The solo star's first words referred to that missed appearance in 2004, as he said: "We have been waiting so long for this."

Kravitz opened with his classic hit Mama Said, following it with other well-known songs such as American Woman, Fly Away and Are You Gonna Go My Way?, and new tracks like Love Revolution.

The website claimed the concert was a relaxed affair, with a sell-out crowd of 7,000, proving the desire for performances by world famous artists in the country.

For music fans who would like to experience more traditional music, Pula will host the International Music Festival with a Croatian focus later this year, according to What's On When Croatia.

Soloists, ensembles and guest musicians are all set to take part in the Istria event in November.
