Ljubljana to host festive events

Ljubljana in Slovenia will host a wide variety of events for all ages over the Christmas and New Year period including activities for visitors to take part in.

The Christmas lights will be turned on in the city on December 3rd, which is the birthday of one of Slovenia's greatest poets France Preseren.

A magical festive atmosphere will be created when the mayor of Ljubljana officially lights up Preseren Square with the decorative installations.

The St Nicholas Fair, which provides visitors with the chance to shop for Christmas gifts, will be held on the square between December 3rd and 6th.

A festive parade will also take place on December 5th at 17:00 local time, which will past through the Krek and Ciril-Metod squares.

Bled in Slovenia will host an Advent Art and Crafts Fair which will be held on every Saturday and Sunday during the festive season this year.

The fair begins on November 29th and between December 20th and January 4th it will be held every day for people to visit.
