Luxury vodka available on flights
07 October 2008
A luxury vodka created in a distillery in Croatia is now available for passengers on board Virgin Atlantic Airways flights.
The vodka, labelled 'the first Mediterranean luxury vodka', is produced at a production plant in the Imotski region in Croatia.
Akvinta Vodka will be available to passengers in a 70cl bottle and will be distinctively wrapped in Virgin Atlantic packaging.
Last April the vodka was made available at New York JFK Airport in the airline's clubhouse.
Staff were challenged to create an exclusive cocktail, to be named the Stoic Virgin, which would reflect the partnership.
Akvinta Vodka was first launched in Croatia in 2006 and was the first product to be fully developed at the distillery from the concept to its final production.
In June this year the drink became a regular feature on the clubhouse's cocktail list for passengers waiting to depart from London Heathrow airport.
