Montenegro to open UK tourism office

Tourism officials from Montenegro plan to open their first UK office in London in 2009 which will be run in conjunction with its national airline.
Montenegro Airlines is now operating direct flights from the UK which has promoted the opening of the country's second overseas tourism office.
In June the airline operator began scheduling flights three times a week from London Gatwick to Tivat in Montenegro and has plans to extend this to five a week soon.
Danica Ceranic, manager of the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro at World Travel Market, told TravleMole.com the country is keen to be seen as an elite tourist destination.
"We already have an office in our most important market, Germany, and now we have decided we need one in our next most important market, the UK," she added.
There are several developments taking place in Montenegro including Aman Resorts' plans to open two new hotels and proposals for a large marina development.
In recent news, the authors of the Sail the Dream blog revealed they enjoyed a voyage to Croatia and noted there are many British visitors in the country's marinas.
