New planes acquired by Croatia Airlines

Croatia Airlines has signed a contract to acquire two new aircraft and has also taken up an option for the delivery of an additional four aeroplanes, it has been announced.
The deal with Canadian firm Bombardier Aerospace will see the carrier receive new Q400 next generation turboprop airlines.
Worth an estimated $57 million (£30.87 million), the value of the agreement could reach $180 million if the options are also taken up by Croatia Airlines.
Ivan Misetic, president and chief executive officer of the carrier, said the Bombardier products are among the best aeroplanes in the world.
He added: "We are convinced that by acquiring these aircraft, Croatia Airlines will reaffirm its position as a regional leader in south-east Europe, besides contributing to connecting Croatia with the world and expanding the Croatian economy."
In related news, it was recently announced a further air link between Croatia and the UK has been launched by Jet2.com.
The route between the southern Dalmatian city of Split and Newcastle in the north-east of England follows that of Dubrovnik to Leeds-Bradford, which was recently revealed by the carrier.
