Property popularity growing in Croatia
21 May 2008
There are a lot of foreign property owners in Croatia and the country's popularity is growing, an expert has said.
Visnja Arambasec, editor of the In Your Pocket guides to the country, said more people can be expected to move to the country as the housing market becomes more "regular".
People should be able to access loans and buy property "in a year or two" to join famous inhabitants such as Nick Cave and Robert De Niro.
Ms Arambasec said while buying property may not yet be "easy", there is a lot of interest in Croatian property.
She added: "The market is growing. There are a lot of offers around all parts of Croatia."
The country has been named as one of the top ten "up and coming" residential property markets in the world by the 2008 Wealth Report.
According to fin24.com, Croatia is likely to give investors above average returns over the next few years.
