Reconstruction for Croatian hotel

A Croatian hotel is set to go through major reconstruction as it becomes the country's first in a worldwide international chain, according to a source.
In news which could interest those wishing to travel to Croatia, development on the Hotel Kvarner, in Opatija, will begin in the autumn as it prepares for its launch under the Marriott brand, reports Financnik.sk.
Work on the 120-year-old building is expected to be completed in 2009.
Meanwhile, another of the country's establishments has been selected for the international Design Hotels AG collection, a source claims.
Rovinj's Hotel Lone has been included in the US scheme, which recognises innovative and unique design as well as high-standard services and products on offer, reports the website.
There are 170 developments in the collection, 118 of which are in Europe, with the Lone becoming Croatia's first entrant.
The 240-room complex is set to open for business in 2009.
