Shaun the Sheep heads for Croatia
14 February 2008
Croatia's selection of entertainment options for English-speaking holidaymakers and villa owners has expanded once again.
The country's Grand Entertainment, a leading video firm, has signed a deal to make Shaun the Sheep available to a wider international audience.
Produced by Aardman Animations, the hit adventure show has won a selection of industry accolades, including the Audience Choice Award at last year's World Comedy film festival.
Originally commissioned by the UK's CBBC channel, it features the woolly star of Oscar-winning Wallace and Gromit flick A Close Shave.
News of Croatia's latest video scoop follows revelations earlier this month that the eastern European hotspot is to get 26 new episodes of a popular US TV series.
Horseland, the creation of Californian television and brand management company DIC Entertainment, is a cartoon set in a stable.
Fusing adventure and fantasy, the show features horses and other animals which talk to each other about their human counterparts, in between thrilling adventures with fun-loving and imaginative children.
