Slovak politician to visit Croatia

Dusan Caplovic, the Slovakian deputy premier for knowledge-based society, European affairs, human rights and minorities will next week visit Croatia on a four-day trip, it has been revealed.
According to tasr.sk, he will meet a range of politicians as well as taking part in a number of Slovakian events in the country.
The news provider has billed his attendance in Zagreb on Tuesday as the most important stage of his visit, with talks due to take place between Mr Caplovic and Croatian foreign affairs and European integration minister Gordan Jandrokovic, prime minister Ivo Sanader and president Stjepan Mesic, among others.
Prior to these engagements, the politician is scheduled to visit Croatian towns with Slovak minorities and to meet representatives of the Slovak Union in Croatia.
According to croatianhistory.net, relations between the two countries have typically been friendly and "good", with a substantial Croatian minority also said to be resident in Slovakia.
