Star Alliance wins award

The Best Airline Alliance Award from Business Traveller (UK) has been given to Star Alliance, of which Croatia Airlines is a member, for the third year in a row.
According to Spanair, these are the "premier honours" for business travel and are chosen over 46 categories, from carriers to hotels.
Readers of the magazine were polled between April and June this year to find the winners.
Commenting on the award, chief executive officer of Star Alliance Jaan Albrecht said: "Receiving the Business Traveller Best Airline Alliance Award for the third consecutive year is continuing proof that Star Alliance continues to be the best airline alliance of choice for the international traveller."
He went on to thank all member carriers and their employees for helping it to deliver across the globe.
It was recently announced by Star Alliance holidaymakers travelling by Croatia Airlines will be able to make use of an executive lounge at Heathrow's Terminal 1.
Gold Card holders and invited guests will have access to facilities such as showers, a special area for children and Wi-Fi internet access.
