Four bedroom Istrian stone villa with pool near Porec

This recently refurbished double fronted Istrian stone villa containing many original features is located in the village of Markovac near Porec. Set within spacious grounds, guests can benefit from country and sea views whilst experiencing the peace and quiet of rural Istria, yet be within easy reach of historical cities and beaches. The Poletti vineyard and cellars, where (amongst others) the famous regional Malvazija wine is produced is conveniently situated within walking distance of the property.

Decorated in a rustic country style, the property is entered from a village road into a driveway. The front door which sits besides the original well, opens into a corridor from which radiates a lovely separate dining room complete with original floor tiles and ceiling frescos and a large open plan living /fully fitted kitchen area with beamed ceilings. Large doors lead out to the rear of the property where the main garden, pool and BBQ area are situated. Just off the kitchen area there is a shower room with toilet. The first floor contains two double bedrooms, a single room, a bathroom and a shower room. There is also a second lounge area complete with sofa bed for two. The second floor contains a double room and a twin room each with oak beamed ceilings.

The villa would suit a group of friends and is particularly suitable for families with children in view of the large garden and pool area. Areas of interest within the area include the Medieval Hill top towns of Motovun and Groznjan as well as the seaside towns of Porec, Rovinj and Vrsar. A little further afield, the Brijuni islands, the Roman amphitheatre in Pula and a day trip to Venice are all recommended excursions that are available from this region.
